Privacy Policy – Intuitive Healing and Wellness Oct 9, 2026 · @Caitlin Weese Effective date: October 9, 2026 Who we are Intuitive Healing and Wellness ("we," "us," "our") is a therapy practice owned by Caitlin Weese, LCSW-C, located at 1305 W. 7th Street, Suite 1, Frederick, MD 21702. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through www.intuitivehealingandwellness.net (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Intuitive Healing and Wellness is the "controller" of your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy covers the website only. If you become a client, your health information is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Maryland law, and is described in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which you will receive at intake. Information we collect We collect only what you choose to send us, plus limited technical data about how the Site is used. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or call 911. We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, financial account numbers, or government ID numbers through the Site. How we use your information We use your information only to respond to you, send the newsletter you asked for, and run and improve the Site. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. Cookies and analytics The Site uses a small number of cookies; analytics cookies are optional and you can refuse them. Essential cookies. Our website platform, Wix, sets cookies needed for security, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off without breaking the Site. Google Analytics 4. GA4 uses cookies (such as _ga ) to count visits and see which pages are useful. We have configured GA4 so that Google Signals and advertising features are turned off, and GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses. Data is retained for 14 months and then deleted. Google processes this data as our service provider; see Google's privacy policy. You can opt out at any time by declining analytics cookies in our cookie banner or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Ahrefs Web Analytics. Ahrefs Web Analytics does not set cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and reports traffic only in aggregate. It is provided by Ahrefs Pte. Ltd.; see privacy policy. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the Site footer or by clearing cookies in your browser. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of non-essential tracking. Our Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them. How we share information We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site, under contracts that limit their use of it to serving us: Wix.com – website hosting, contact forms, and cookie banner Our email newsletter provider – storing subscriber emails and sending the newsletter Google LLC – Google Analytics 4 Ahrefs Pte. Ltd. – cookieless, aggregate web analytics We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect someone's life or safety; or to a successor if the practice is sold or merged, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information. Retention, security, and international transfers We keep personal information only as long as we need it. Security. We use HTTPS encryption on the entire Site, limit access to authorized staff, and choose providers with strong security practices. No method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. International transfers. We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Your privacy rights You can ask us to see, correct, delete, or stop using your personal information, and we extend these rights to every visitor regardless of where you live. Everyone. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email. EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither); and to limit use of sensitive personal information (we use it only to respond to you). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide written permission from you. Maryland residents (Maryland Online Data Privacy Act). You have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data; to access, correct, and delete it; to obtain a portable copy; to obtain a list of the categories of third parties we have disclosed it to; and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and profiling (we do none of these). We do not sell sensitive data, including consumer health data. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond within 60 days, and if you remain unsatisfied you may contact the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming the email address you used with us, and respond within 45 days (or one month for GDPR requests). We may extend this once when reasonably necessary and will tell you if we do. Requests are free unless they are clearly excessive or repetitive. Children's privacy The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through the Site. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it. Links to other sites The Site links to other websites, such as our podcast, Instagram, and booking or insurance pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies. Changes to this policy We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will notify newsletter subscribers by email.
